On behalf of the residents and staff of the Highlands Retirement Residence, we graciously acknowledge our thanks and appreciation to the following individuals, organizations, and entities that provided their support and assistance throughout our evacuation:
To the First Responders; members of Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Center; and the volunteers of Prospera Place who worked tirelessly to protect and serve our community;
To the family members of our residents who gathered and protected their loved ones during this ordeal;
To the staff of The Highlands who comforted our clients; assisted with their evacuation; and provided continuing support to those without family;
To our Snowsell neighbours for their support and assistance;
To the staff of Interior Health who guidance and assistance with their clients was exceptional. A special thank you to Jill K., Kate, KGH, and Kelowna Home Care Solutions;
To our Glenmore neighbours
To the staff and management of the Capri Hotel who welcomed our residents and did all to ease their burden during our stay;
To the family members whose cooperation and assistance was demonstrated once again with the orderly return of their loved ones; and
